Ultrashape-Contour 1, Non-Surgical Liposculpture

Instituto Médico Láser has just added UltraShape to its technological platform UltraShape is a new system for the treatment of cellulitis that eliminates fat deposits and remodels body contour without the drawbacks of surgery.

This is the first and only medical system that performs a non-surgical ultrasonic remodelling of the body’s silhouette. The technology of this device is based on a beam of focalised ultrasound that destroys fat cells with no damage to the surrounding tissues. In the procedure the membrane of adipocytes is broken by the effect of ultrasonic vibration that permits visualisation of changes in the body in real time.

UltraShape complies with the European Directive 93/42 EEC concerning medical devices.

Advantages

• Convenient and painless: The treatment is totally painless and it is carried out on an outpatient basis at the actual office. It does not require anaesthesia or the use of girdles.

• Safe: Only a predetermined amount of ultrasonic energy is aimed accurately to the target area within the adipose panicle. The surrounding tissue remains intact and unexposed.

• Selective: Only the membranes of adipocytes are broken. There is no epidermal lesion.

Results

Upon completion of the treatment a discrete volume decrease is noticed. The loss of centimetres is gradual as the destroyed fat gets eliminated by the body.

A contour reduction of 2.5 cm is obtained in one single session on average. There patients, however, that have achieved up to 6 cm reductions from the saddlebag area in just one session.

Slightly over two hours per selected area.

Number of sessions

As many as necessary, for as long as they are performed at 4 weeks intervals.
