LIPOSONIX

Instituto Medico Laser includes third generation non-surgical Liposculture to its technical platform: LipoSonix is a new non-invasive technique that uses safe and efficiente technology in the treatment of adipose tissue. It uses HIFU or High Intensity Focalised Ultrasound technology which has been used for some time in medical treatments and currently for cosmetic uses as well.

LipoSonix transducer focuses to a precise epidermal depth and distributes the energy homogenously. The adipocytes are destroyed by the combination of two ultrasound effects: mechanical force (movilization of the interstitial fluid molecules) and thermal force (the friction between the molecules produces adipocyte thermocoagulation, detroying the fat cells and accelerating the generation of collagen and new elastic fibres).

The advantages of LipoSonix compared to other devices are:

• • Painless and does not require the use of compression garments
• • The physician can define the ultrasound discharge quantity and release length to suit the treated area
• • The discharge is meticulously controlled from the beginning of the ultrasound emission until it reaches the focus point
• • The surrounding tissue is left unscathed due to its focalised technique
• • As well as destroying the adipose tissue, LipoSonix recontours the treated area as it causes a regeneration of the collagen and elastic fibres.

A LipoSonix session consists of applying a transducer with an incorporated scanner to the treated area that produces a localised cold sensation to avoid burns. Once the session is over, on occasion, slight erythema from the cold and oedema caused by tissue destruction may appear although these will never last for more than 7 days. Each session has an approximate duration of 30 minutes.
After the first session, volumen reduction is noticeable and completely visible one month after treatment.
