Deep IR
Fights cellulite and flaccidity. Improves texture.
Deep IR is a broadband Fractional Infrared Light system whose energy penetrates in the dermis and the subcutaneous fat to a depth of 3 mm in the shape of micro columns of heat that act effectively against cellulite and flaccidity, while tensing the skin surface.
Through its headpiece, Deep IR delivers micro infrared rays at a wavelength of 850 to 1350 nm. These columns of heat are so defined that they do not affect the surrounding tissue, they can act both on the reticular dermis as well as the dermo-hypodermic junction or the hypodermis without altering the skin surface.
The heat energy deposited in the interior achieves:
-Reduction of the adipocytes by photo thermal induction
-Skin tensing, through immediate coagulation of existing collagen
-Modification of the fibrous structures that hold the fat lobes in the hypodermis
-Activation of microcirculation, hindered by the cellulite
-Generation of new collagen fibres in perfect state, 3 to 6 months after treatment
The Deep IR handpiece is designed to maintain the skin surface cool before, during and after each trigger, providing the patient with maximum comfort.
Due to the immediate contraction of the collagen in the tissue, an improvement in the flaccidity takes place immediately, which increase as treatment progresses and reaches its maximum level at 6 months. This is the time the fibroblasts need to induce inversion of the structural fibres that return part of the turgidity to the whole of the dermis.
It is indicated in the treatment of:
-Flaccid or evolved cellulite, in regions such as the abdomen, inside and back of thighs.
-Fine tissue without adipose panniculus: Abdominal flaccidity, thin and striated skin, areas of fine dermis such as the inside area of thin arms and the inside thigh region.
-Definition of the mid third of the face and neck.
The number of sessions needed varies with each individual patient’s characteristics, so these should be established by the Medical Staff at IML accordingly. To achieve satisfactory results, at least 4 sessions are needed at fortnightly intervals. For acute cases, 6 to 8 sessions can be applied.
