Botox® (Botulinum Toxin):

  • What it consists of: The administration of Botox® or Botulinum Toxin through subcutaneous infiltrations using a very fine needle. Botulinum Toxin blocks the cholinergic stimulus in sweat production.
  • Requirements: Application of anaesthetic cream on the treatment area, following the dermatologist's indications. The treatment can be performed on the armpits, soles of the hands (palmar hyperhidrosis) and soles of the feet (plantar hyperhidrosis).
  • Results: The hyperhidrosis symptoms subside a few days after treatment. The effect of Botox® lasts for at least 6 months.
  • Post-treatment: The patient can resume their normal daily activities immediately after applying the Botox® infiltrations.
