	Mamaplasty / Breast Reconstruction Complete removal of a breast, which sometimes includes the pectoral muscle is followed by breast reconstruction. The reconstruction procedure involves replacing the resected muscles with muscles from other parts of the body such as the rectus abdominis muscles. Expansion of the cicatricial skin of the mammary area is achieved by means of expansors that will obtain sufficient skin surface to host the implant to be inserted at a later surgical stage.
