Macrolane is a stabilised non-animal hyaluronic acid which can be used in large quantities to correct corporal aesthetic imperfections, such as post-liposuction defects, calf and buttock augmentation and contouring and also in some congenital abnormalities such as Poland syndrome.
The procedure is simple: a small infiltration of local anaesthetic is followed by an injection of the product in the chosen area with a 16G trocar needle, gentle massaging the skin.

The effects last for a maximum of 18 months and the boosters require less volume, usually half the amount in most cases.
